Designed from the ground up, the TrackPilot™ ECU is mounted directly in the engine bay, protecting it from damage or theft. Coupled with this, its on-board diagnostics (OBD) maintains necessary protection for all input sensors and output actuators.
User-focused, built for the driver and site manager…
First place to start was to hear what was bad or not working with the current GUI. Old, traditional, too busy, not user friendly and confusing were many of the words used to describe the current users opinions.
The team at YST worked in the same offices as the engineers to create a series of new user journeys based on the many interactions with the software. These were then formed into a collection of wireframe maps before we took to developing the look and feel and interface style.
Establishing a new user-interface and design standards…
The interface design took on a new fresh look. Clean and crisp but solid enough to with stand day and nighttime viewing as well as high sun and shade variants. A colour framework that allowed the team to develop into the system a set of colours that would shape the GUI across all up and coming systems developed by the engineers.
Over the weeks the GUI took form and only got stronger as we developed it on. Changing and adapting to the engineers requirements but still enforcing the ‘Clear Mind’ approach of less is more.
Going back all the time to make sure the user journey was a safe, visually enhanced and enjoyable experience.
